Hi, I am Kay Fawcett, a nurse, director of my own company, and a wife, mum and nana. I am keen on self development, and I am constantly working to get fitter!
I have had a lifelong association with the NHS and throughout my career I have always enjoyed helping and developing others, be that with members of teams I have worked in, or supporting senior colleagues with the challenging health and care agenda. In 2013, I left my executive role in the NHS and decided to become self employed working to support and develop organisations and people.
My constructive and open minded approach to work enables me to think innovatively, and support teams to implement new ideas and strategies to improve services and patient experience.
A PROVEN TRACK RECORD
My commitment to continuing professional development and constant improvement has enabled me to enhance and develop staff and services within the organisations I have engaged with.
After many years working in clinical, educational and managerial roles in the NHS I am now working independently using my skills and knowledge to support people and organisations with personal development, team work and strategic projects. If these are things you are looking for help with, I could be just the person you need.
My recent work in the last year has included :
- Coaching a variety of people from aspiring executives wanting to get their first step on the executive ladder, to ward and departmental leaders at the cross roads in their careers
- Supporting national organisations such as Health Education England in the development of education programmes for support workers, working closely with both health and social care
- Developing new resources for educating volunteers and the staff that support them in health and care, through my work with Helpforce as a Clinical Advisor
- Working as a non-executive director for the Royal College of Nursing publishing company (RCNi) providing nursing knowledge and leadership to the Board
